This semester I have learned that technology is very easy to implement into the classroom!  A lot easier than I thought it would be!  I did not know that all of the effects in Google even existed!  Google docs and reader is awesome.  I am so glad that I learned how to run those!  I have learned not to use technology unless I know what I am doing!!!  I could see myself integrated google docs and podcasts into my classroom.  For my podcast I read a story.  I think that it would be awesome to have my kids do this!  I do not see myself using a Wiki in the classroom.  Mostly this is because I am not very good at it!  Also, it was my least favorite of all of the things that we did in this class.  My thoughts on technology in the classroom have changed drastically.  Before this semester, I thought that technology was something that would only be used in technology classes and was not necessary to incorporate into the regular classroom.  Now, I know that it is so easy to put in a regular classroom!  My advice for myself is that I need to make sure that I understand how to use a piece of technology before I start using it in my classroom.

Google Earth

What a fantastic program!  I think that Google Earth would be great for research projects and many other classroom activities.  Talking about Paris?  Oh let's just get on Google Earth and look at it RIGHT NOW!  It is fabulous!

Thunderstorms

Google Docs

I think that google docs is fantastic!  Once again, this might be kind of a pain to get the parents permission, but it would be worth it.  I think that it would be very useful for any teacher!

Twitter

Oh twitter.  I feel like this is my least favorite of all of the different types of ways to connect via internet.  I think that it could be a good idea, but is a little too risky for the classroom.  One of my friends is actually a technology teacher at one of the schools in Missoula.  She has told me that her students have a google account is already hard enough to regulate.  Also, getting the parents to agree can be difficult as well.  So, I think that it might be pretty impossible to get parents to agree to letting their children have an account.  When I think of twitter, I think of celebrity status updates.  I have a feeling that most parents would be against their kids using it. 

Wikis in the Classroom

I think that wikis are a great way for students to come together and plan projects.  I am in a lot of group projects and I feel like it is hard to make time to get together to collaborate.  I think that a Wiki would be very helpful with school projects.
